The client runs a specialized veterinary clinic website focused on veterinary ophthalmology and veterinary oncology. However, the site depended on a single freelancer, so the business had limited control. In addition, there was no CMS panel, which made content updates difficult. At the same time, the website had UX issues that blocked conversions. Moreover, it lacked key technical and SEO elements, so it needed a structured cleanup.
Scope of work
First, we migrated the website to WordPress, because the client needed independence and a clear admin workflow. Next, we preserved the existing visual design, so returning visitors would not feel lost. Then, we fixed critical functionality and improved UX elements. In addition, we aligned the website with essential SEO requirements. Finally, we handled hosting by either purchasing a new plan or using the current one, depending on the client’s setup.
What we fixed and delivered
Independence and a CMS panel
We implemented WordPress, so the client gained a proper admin panel. As a result, they can edit content, images, and pages on their own. Moreover, we reduced operational risk, because the website no longer depends on one external person.
UX and conversion improvements
First, we reviewed the user journey, because appointment booking was not working correctly. Then, we fixed broken buttons and cleaned up navigation. In addition, we added a clear pricing section, so visitors can make decisions faster. At the same time, we improved the menu, which made the site easier to use on both desktop and mobile.
SEO and technical essentials
We added basic meta tags, so the site has a stronger foundation for search visibility. Next, we corrected the heading structure (H1–H3), because content hierarchy matters for both users and search engines. In addition, we added ALT text to images, which supports accessibility and SEO. Moreover, we generated an XML sitemap, so indexing is more consistent. We also implemented SSL, therefore the site runs on HTTPS. Finally, we improved responsiveness and loading speed, because performance directly affects user experience.
Results
In the end, we delivered all project goals. The client received a WordPress-based website, so they gained CMS access and more independence. At the same time, we kept the original look and feel, therefore the brand remained consistent. Moreover, we fixed the key UX issues, so booking and navigation now work as expected. In addition, we implemented essential SEO and technical improvements, which makes the site ready for further growth.
