We built a custom Laravel integration connecting CSV product catalogs, PrestaShop stores and WAPRO. It developed from a repeatable product importer into a system handling stock, orders, statuses and sales documents.
The client’s need
The company sold through several stores and used its own product spreadsheet. It needed to update the offer repeatedly, assign products to selected stores and connect online sales with inventory operations. Moving the same information manually between administration panels did not meet the needs of additional sales channels.
The challenge was relating different ways of representing data. A file record, a PrestaShop product and a WAPRO item reference required an explicit link. Categories, attributes and delivery methods also had to match their destination systems, while order statuses needed to reflect the team’s actual workflow.
A shared panel
We created a separate Laravel application for importing and reviewing products and configuring stores. A CSV catalog can be distributed to selected channels. Categories and attributes are mapped to their PrestaShop counterparts. Images have their own management interface and can be passed to the stores assigned to a product.
The importer handled both comma-separated and semicolon-separated files. Following initial tests, we added a persistent completion notification so the result remained clear after someone switched to another tab.
Stores and WAPRO
We extended the application to connect products with WAPRO stock data and handle orders collected from PrestaShop. Store settings define collection statuses, carrier mappings and automatic order transfer to WAPRO. Collecting an order into the integration panel and sending it to the ERP are distinct process stages.
Status mappings gained a configurable synchronization direction. A separate setting determines which collected statuses should trigger a change after import. This allows an already-shipped order to be included without moving it automatically back into preparation. It addresses a case where a staff member updated an order before the next collection run.
Documents and visibility
A further stage covered transferring linked sales documents for handling in PrestaShop. Document visibility and labels were checked in the Polish and English versions of the store. Both retrieving the PDF from WAPRO and relating it to the correct order mattered.
We also added information from VAT-number verification in VIES. It is displayed in the order details and passed to WAPRO as a customer flag. The requirement did not include automatically changing the price by removing VAT.
During ongoing maintenance, email notifications for order problems and highlighted panel rows were added. These give the team a signal that a particular data flow needs investigation instead of discovering a missing order only during fulfillment.
The delivered result
The client received a shared tool for catalog handling and data exchange between its stores and WAPRO. We developed it in stages, responding to additional needs and situations encountered in operation. The team can manage catalog data and order-flow settings in one panel, while WAPRO remains part of the warehouse’s everyday operation.
